My name is Cortney O'Brien and I'm a senior at Allegheny College. My Christian faith and conservatism are an important part of my identity, both of which are challenged on my liberal campus. Throughout my years here at school, I realize I've been too quiet when hearing liberal viewpoints both in and outside the classroom, so this year I've decided to become more vocal and more active. Attending Young America's Foundation Conservative Student Conference this past summer really inspired me to get more involved and to spread my conservative values. A blog is one way I can vent my frustration. If you feel passionate about something I write, feel free to comment. I am more determined than ever to do what I can to help a Republican get elected in 2012. I am no longer shy in being the political minority at my school. Hopefully after reading some of my posts, you other young conservatives will start speaking up as well.
